Beginning in 2025, Dr Kaylene Henderson is delighted to be able to offer her ‘Team Courage’ support package to all K-6 schools around Australia and beyond.
This is an incredible opportunity for your school to have a highly trained Child Psychiatrist and trusted parenting expert on your team.
Schools can sign up anytime to receive 12 months’ access to the following:
Invaluable learning for your (soon to be more resilient) students
- Simple lesson plans for teachers of years 1-6, mapped to the Australian Curriculum
- Brief video messages for your students from Dr Kaylene herself; You can choose to share with your class to help them learn more about anxiety, stress busting tips and the importance of facing (not avoiding) life’s challenging moments
- Simple suggestions for whole school activities to help you shift the culture within your school community towards one that values and embraces challenges
- Printable posters to display inside your classrooms and around your school with key ‘Team Courage’ resilience-building messages
Shared learning for the ‘team’ of adults who care for them, ensuring EVERYONE is on the same side
- Dr Kaylene will present a ‘live’ engaging evening webinar for your parents AND teachers each term throughout the year.
These will be filled with practical, ‘doable’ tips, covering topics such as building independence and resilience, difficult drop offs, school reluctance, fostering a growth mindset and positive approach to life, overcoming perfectionism, becoming comfortable with mistakes and failure, healthy friendships, addressing rivalry, teaching problem solving skills, helping children calm down, understanding children’s sensory needs, encouraging a healthy self esteem plus guiding and addressing behaviour. You can also submit topic requests to Dr Kaylene directly!
Support for your parent community from your own ‘go-to’ parenting expert
- Written guidance for your school newsletter, supplied fortnightly, in response to your parents’ concerns and questions
- Live evening webinars each term covering a range of practical topics, perfectly tailored to their needs and requests
- Your parents will feel heard and supported, while your school staff will feel reassured that they needn’t somehow have ‘all the answers’ – it’s a win-win situation!
Prompt, accessible specialist support for families with anxious children
- All schools signing up to Team Courage will also receive free ‘Courage Coaching’ registrations, allowing you to share this acclaimed 6-week online course for parents of anxious children with those among your community who are most in need
- This online course, has been thoughtfully developed and delivered by Dr Kaylene to be engaging, inclusive and broadly helpful, irrespective of children’s neurotype or diagnosis.
- Since many parents these days are finding it virtually impossible to access (or afford) specialist help, this resource will be enormously helpful for your families, allowing them to quickly learn how to guide their children towards greater calmness, confidence and courage
- A special discount for ‘Courage Coaching’ will also be shared with your entire school, making this resource more accessible to ALL of your families
High quality professional development and support for your teachers
- 4 x ‘live’ webinars across each year, as described above (each linked to the Australian Professional Standards)
- 2 x additional 1-hour pre-recorded training videos on the topics of anxiety and sensory processing challenges that your teachers can work through at their own pace, or you might prefer to watch these together in your staff meetings
- Each of these resources are accompanied by printable handouts, plus certificates of attendance as evidence that you are meeting your yearly PD requirements
Congratulations! You’ll be a ‘Team Courage’ school

“Southern Cross Catholic College jumped at the chance to become a ‘Team Courage’ school.
We’re fortunate to have worked with Dr Kaylene Henderson in the past and have enormous respect for her incredible expertise, practical approach and genuine warmth.
The expert-delivered yet collaborative approach that she’s now providing is the perfect fit for us as we strive to improve the resilience, mental health, social-emotional-behavioural learning and wellbeing of our students.
To provide this kind of support to schools in a way that also includes and supports our parents and teachers is ideal”.

Funding considerations
Some schools choose to tap into various funding sources for these invaluable ‘Team Courage’ resources, including grants, P&F fundraising, learning support budgets and/or professional learning funds.
Others find that signing up for 5 years fits more manageably within their budget, since the total fee can then be spread across this 5 year term. (So, rather than paying a higher first year fee and reduced subsequent renewal fees, a school with 99 students would simply pay an annual fee of $897.20).
You can request to join ‘Team Courage’ now.
Simply add your school’s name, postcode and any other relevant details in the ‘comments’ field of the form below.
We’ll respond to your request as soon as we can, then make sure you’re all set for a great year ahead.
“Your expertise on child mental health and the actionable strategies you share, help school leaders navigate the rising challenges of anxiety and resilience in their students. We are incredibly grateful for your time and dedication.”
